Tips for Electronic Collar Use:
- Do not leave the collar on the dog all the time. Limit this to no more than 10 hours at a time, because your dog’s neck could become irritated from rubbing.
- Test intensity levels with your dog and choose a level that will not overwhelm the animal. You simply want to motivate the dog with the training collar.
- To test levels on your dog, start with the lowest and work your way up. Only test the intensity level when there are no distractions for your pet.
- Use continuous stimulation (start with lowest level) when working to find your dog’s sensitivity level.
- Do not give any commands while testing the collar on your dog for the first time. This could lead to an inaccurate reading if he is trying to obey a command.
